Camellia japonica ‘Royal Velvet’

Large, semi-double, dark velvet red blooms. Mid-season flowering. Strong, vigorous, upright growth. Grows approximately 2.4m tall x 1.2m wide with dark, shiny leaves. Ideal for screens, hedging, topiary, large containers and espalier.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
