Camellia japonica ‘Mark Alan’

Large, semi-double, wine-red flowers with an anemone form. Long flowering, early to late season autumn through winter. Evergreen shrub with a compact, upright form growing approximately 2m tall x 1.5m wide. Thick, glossy, dark green foliage. Ideal for screens, hedging, large containers and espalier.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
