Camellia japonica x ‘Dreamboat’
Beautiful, large, formal double blooms with incurved, bright pink petals. Lavender sheen with intensifying colour at the edges. Flowers freely early winter to mid spring. Upright, bushy shrub with an open, semi-pendulous branching form. Suitable for general gardens, containers, espalier or bonsai. Ideal for screening and can be closely clipped. Grows approximately 2.5m high x 2m wide.
Plant in cool, moist, lime-free soil. Prefers part shade. Protect from high winds. Tolerates light frosts. Apply acidic fertiliser, compost and/or peat moss to improve pH of soil. Mulch roots in summer to keep cool and retain moisture.
