Boronia heterophylla (Red Boronia)
An upright, bushy, evergreen shrub with leathery, narrow, dark-green leaves. A mass of slightly fragrant, bright reddish-pink, bell-like flowers are borne in spring. Ideal for screening, shrubberies, or general garden planting. Grown commercially for it’s flowers which have good lasting qualities. Grows approximately 3m high x 2m wide.
Grows best in cool conditions with dappled or part sun. Requires a well drained soil that is kept consistently moist. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a compact, bushy plant. Tolerates light frost and coastal conditions. Protect from strong winds.
