Often considered to have the best flavour ot the southern highbush varieties with large, dark blue fruit that matures very early from summer to autumn. The berries that are succulent to eat and so very healthy for you. They are full of lots of good vitamins and especially high in vitamin C. They have amazing antioxidant qualities and have proven benefits for the making of healthy skin, bones and heart while also showing benefits to improving mental health. This variety has a low chill requirement. Makes a great blueberry smoothie or shake. Can also be eaten on it’s own, baked in cakes or muffins, added to desserts, fruit salads and made into jams and sauces. Great as a topping on cheesecake. Blueberries prefer well drained, open, acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. Plant in full sun or part shade. Drought tolerant once established and frost hardy. Prune to remove tips and weak shoots in winter. Feed in spring with poultry manure or a low rate of complete fertiliser. 2 x 1.5m.
