Ribes nigrum (Black Currant Magnus)

Vigorous, upright-growing black currant with large-sized berries ripening late December to February. Self fertile. Grows approximately 2m high x 1.5m wide. Deciduous bush.

Full sun position. Plant in well drained soil rich in organic matter. Benefits from regular watering during dry periods and fruit development. Mulching with compost is beneficial. Prune late winter to encourage fresh fruiting growth.
