Begonia mazae ‘Nigricans’

A fascinating rhizomatous begonia with brilliant, bright green foliage marked with bold striping. The new leaves emerge with an orange undertone which deepen into a rich green. Older, mature leaves will darken almost to a black colour. Can produce clusters of pendulous soft pink-white flowers.

Very low maintenance, easy care plant. Will tolerate lower levels u to brighter, indirect light. Avoid subjecting to direct sunlight as this will burn the leaves. Use a well draining potting mix and keep soil lightly moist, allowing to dry just slightly between waterings. Water less in winter.
