Banksia grandis – Bull Banksia

A large shrub to small tree with unusual, deeply serrated, large leaves. The large, cream flower heads are made up of masses of individual flowers. Flowering is usually late summer to autumn. Makes a great feature plant with it’s deep green foliage and huge, bird attracting flower heads. Grows to 3m.

Prefers well drained, acidic soils in full sun. Provide regular moisture in first summer during periods of prolonged drought. Tolerant of dry conditions once established.  Frost hardy.
