Deciduous Azalea. ‘Melford Lemon’ forms an upright shrub with large, bright saffron yellow with softer tonings and an apricot flare. Lightly scented. Late-season flowering in November. Grows approximately 1.5m.

Prefers full sun but will grow well in partly shaded positions. Requires well-draining, rich, acidic soil. Fully hardy and tolerant to frosts. Water regularly during hot and dry periods. Fertilise in spring with acid fertiliser and mulch with organic material. Prune for shape if needed, and deadhead old buds to encourage new growth next season.
