Azalea mollis ‘Cross Hills Frills’ (Deciduous)

Deciduous Azalea. ‘Cross Hills Frills’ produces large, round, frilled trusses of vibrant orange buds which open to a brilliant, deep golden-yellow flower. Mid-late season flowering. Grows approximately 1.5m.

Prefers full sun but will grow well in partly shaded positions. Requires well-draining, rich, acidic soil. Fully hardy and tolerant to frosts. Water regularly during hot and dry periods. Fertilise in spring with acid fertiliser and mulch with organic material. Prune for shape if needed, and deadhead old buds to encourage new growth next season.
