Apple Cox’s Orange Pippin Semi Dwarf
$66.99
Malus domestica ‘Cox’s Orange Pippin’
One of the finest apples ever grown. Rich, aromatic, tangy, nutty-flavoured flesh makes this older variety still a hugely popular apple. Green background, striped red skin. A moderate cropper. Early to mid season – harvest January-March. Partially self-fertile but produces better yields when cross pollinated with other mid-flowering varieties. Grows approximately 3m high x 2m wide.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot in free draining soil prepared with organic matter. Requires staking for support. Water frequently while young, during long, dry periods and while the fruit is developing. Frost tolerant while dormant but protect fresh buds from spring frosts.
