This stunning tree has been brought to us from Japan. The deep chocolate-red, ferny foliage appears in late spring and holds well into the autumn. During late summer the tops of the branches are smothered in tufts of silky, pink flowers. An ideal shade and specimen tree. Grows approximately 4m high x 4m wide.
Easy to grow in a warm, sunny position. Tolerant of most well draining soil types. Tolerates heat and drought once established but benefits from moist soil in summer. Frost hardy. Requires protection from strong wind. Can be pruned to shape in winter.
