A unique, dwarf acer with a layered form when mature. Small, crinkled foliage is densely clumped very closely to the branches. Dainty green growth emerges in spring, lightly variegated in pink. Develops bright yellow and orange colours in autumn. Grows approximately 1.5m high x 1m wide.

Prefers a part shade position with protection from blistering afternoon sun. Perfect in sheltered spots, protect from hot, dry and coastal wind. Plant in fertile, moist, well drained soil.
