Acer palmatum ‘Senkaki’ (Coral Bark Maple, Sango Kaku)

A year round beauty with spring leaves that are lime-green with red margins, turning green through summer and golden-orange through autumn. A shrubby, small, upright tree. The winter bark is a very ornamental and conspicuous feature. Bright coral-red stems provide continual interest and have a bolder colour through winter when the tree is bare. Grows approximately 3 x 3m in 10 years.

Suitable for a full sun to part shade position with protection from blistering afternoon sun. Perfect in sheltered spots, protect from hot, dry and coastal wind. Plant in fertile, moist, well drained soil.
