Acer palmatum ‘Aratama’ (Japanese Maple)

‘Aratama’ is a lovely, dwarf, burgundy-red maple. Bright red spring growth matures out to a deep burgundy-purple. Summer foliage takes on dark green-flushed purple tones, eventually turning a vibrant orange through autumn. Dwarf, rounded growth habit, growing approximately 1.5 x 1.5m.

Suitable for a full sun to part shade position with protection from blistering afternoon sun. Perfect in sheltered spots, protect from hot, dry and coastal wind. Plant in fertile, moist, well drained soil.
