Osmanthus delavayi ‘Pearly Gates’

This dainty shrub packs a punch when it comes to scent. Produces masses of pure white, tubular flowers right from winter into spring. Lovely small, dark green leaves on a dense, upright, bushy shrub. Use as a formal hedge, container specimen, mass planting in larger gardens, filler in shaded areas, or in pots by entranceways, where its beautiful perfume can be enjoyed. Grows approximately 1.5m high x 1m wide.

Grows in full sun as well as shade, great for brightening up dark corners. Best performance is in a sunny position. Tolerates all well draining soil types and benefits from a good watering during dry periods. Drought, frost and wind tolerant, once established. Lightly prune to maintain shape and fertilise in spring and late summer.
