Polygala ‘Petite Butterfly’ (Sweet Pea Shrub)

Polygala are renowned for producing flowers pretty much every month of the year. With the strongest flushes in spring and summer. A striking, compact shrub with bright magenta-pink pea-shaped flowers. Very easy to grow and attractive to bees, birds, insects and butterflies. Well suited to growing in pots and containers. ‘Petite Butterfly’ is a smaller and more compact variety reaching approximately 80cm high x 80cm wide.

They are a tough, frost, wind hardy and drought tolerant plant that even thrives in coastal situations. Grow in full sun or part shade. Suits many garden spots with good drainage, performing especially well in lighter soils. Easy care with a trim after a main flush of flowering and a feed of slow-release fertiliser.
