A selected form of the summer flowering “Silk” tree which has bright carmine-red, tufted blooms that cover the tree en-masse. The foliage is also pretty and fern-like. An ideal shade and specimen tree. Very hardy, deciduous tree. Grows approximately 5m high x 4m wide in 10 years.

Easy to grow in a warm, sunny position. Happiest in free-draining soil that does not dry out completely in summer and is rich in organic matter. Tolerates heat and drought once established but benefits from moist soil in summer. Frost hardy. Requires protection from wind. Generally easy care, if required a light prune can be done during the winter.
