Butterfly Bush. Hardy vigorous shrub with grey-green leaves which emerge from white-felted shoots. Masses of very fragrant mauve-blue flowers through the summer and autumn, full of nectar to attract butterflies. Grows approximately 2 x 2m.

Prefers a sunny site. Trim hard after flowering, to encourage repeat flowering. Frost hardy. Tolerates costal conditions. Drought tolerant, best in a sandy, well drained soil.
