Camellia sasanqua ‘Hiryu’

Also known by the name ‘Kanjiro.’ Large, semi-double blooms with rose-pink petals edged in rose-red. Profuse flowering early-mid season from autumn to early winter. A strong, upright, evergreen shrub with a pyramidal form. Growing approximately 2m tall x 1.5m wide with large, glossy, deep green leaves. Ideal for screens, hedging, large containers and espalier.

Provide a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Mix soil through with organic matter for best results. Protect from strong winds. Keep moist in especially hot, dry weather and mulch to keep roots cool. Can be lightly trimmed in spring.
