The students loved the 2023 Challenge and keep asking to do it again. We are currently growing kūmara for puanga and would love to expand.
We have a lot of students who are very hungry by lunchtime so our aim is to create a garden big enough to feed our school at lunchtime!
We have actively been working to establish a māra kai. We hope to use this opportunity as we are still in the learning process ourselves.
Our families have a passion for looking after the land, the children enjoy seeing seedlings sprout up and this encourages them to get involved.
We are excited to be part of this new partnership. We are trying to teach life skills, while also providing vegetables to our whanau.
To encourage our tamariki to learn about the benefits of gardening and being able to grow your own vegetables to help your whanau.
We would love to participate in the programme, as the students enjoyed the competition last year and made a lot of progress in their garden.
We have many learners who are interested in gardening, with a dedicated Green Team who love learning about and caring for our environment.
We value empowering students to learn to grow their own kai sustainably. This year we are establishing some new gardens.
