Kaitoke School Vegetable Competition Profile

Our final garden

With a strong garden set-up already in place, the chance to take part in the SpringvaleGarden Centre School Vegetable Garden Competition was a no-brainer for Kaitoke School.

The school already had some splitter boxes set up over the past few years which enabled pupils to grow whatever they liked.

Being able to source some vegetables for the competition has been a welcome addition to the garden.

Update April 15th

The children at Kaitoke School are enjoying weeding and getting dirt under their fingernails. It’s a race between the weeds and the carrots; I think the carrots have a good chance. Most of the kids are looking forward to eating some of their fresh veggies.
