Protea Laurifolia Rose Mink
A moderately large, robust shrub with grey-green leaves and attractive, medium-sized, rose-red flowers with black fringing. The terminal flowers are produced over a long period from late autumn through to mid spring. It has a tidy, vigorous growth habit to size of 3m x 2m.
Usually a very reliable plant which can be long lived. The plant can be pruned back quite hard when young to maintain shape and size. It will adapt to a wide range of soil types and prefers an open, sunny position. Once established, it will withstand heavy frost and prolonged periods of drought. Suitable for coastal conditions.
