Large, classic, gourmet dessert pear. Slightly rounded fruit with yellow-green skin blushed red, deepening in colour as it ripens. Very juicy, melting flesh with rich flavour reminiscent of sweetened cinnamon. Fruit ripens mid to late-autumn. High chilling hours needed to set fruit.

Partially self-fertile, but for best fruit set, cross-pollinate with Pears ‘Beurre Bosc,’ ‘Winter Nelis,’ and Nashis. Tree has an upright and vigorous habit. Pear trees are excellent for espalier training. Grows approximately 4m high x 3m wide in 10 years.

Requires a full sun position for best fruit development. Pears are deep rooted and will grow in most soil types. Tolerant of wet soils in the summer, though not in winter. Grows well in cooler areas with mild summers. Shelter from wind and protect new growth from spring frosts.
