Curcuma zedoaria (White Turmeric)
A perennial herb with large, soft green leaves with ornamental and edible properties. Produces bicolour, bright pink and white, tulip-like blooms in spring through to autumn. Rhizomes are harvested and popular for culinary and medicinal uses. Grows approximately 1m high x 50cm wide.
Plants like warm, wet and well fed conditions in summer with well drained soil. Do not over-water in winter. Frost tender. Ideal in pots.
