Small tree with narrow leaves which emerge pinkish-bronze turning dark green above and pale green below. Clusters of white flowers in creamy white bracts bracts which change to a rich, flame-red. Grows approximately 4m high x 2m wide in 10 years.

Best in well drained good soil, that does not get too dry. Prefers warm, sheltered site. Avoid heavy frost.
